Hours of Operation

From April through October, visitors can take guided* or self-guided tours of the fort and museum. Historical interpreters, dressed in period clothing, are on hand to provide all kinds of historic demonstrations, discuss the history of the fort, and answer any questions. Come discover a part of Ohio history you never knew was here! 

*Guided tours are offered at 11am & 3 pm. They are contingent upon staff availability during peak school tour season (April-May).

  • Sunday: 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Closed Mondays and Tuesday

The Fort offers daily guided tours at 11 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

The reconstructed fort is CLOSED during these months.

Visitor Center & Museum Hours:

From November-March, we are in our winter quarter and offer reduced rates. The outdoor fort is closed for the season. The museum and visitor center are open year round. Admission includes the viewing of WGTE’s Fort Meigs introductory video, and access to The Legacy of Freedom, our state-of-the-art War of 1812 Museum.
