LIFE IN EARLY OHIO
September 21-22, 2024
Join the Old Northwest Military History Association and staff of Fort Meigs Historic Site for a weekend focusing on historic trades. In addition to the scheduled programming throughout the weekend, regular activities will include: Rope Making, Tomahawk Throwing, Box Loom Weaving, Baking, Gardening, Blacksmithing, Tea Gardening, Harness Making, Spinning, and Cooking.

"This day an express arrived from Genl. Harrison informing us that Commodore Perry had gained a complete victory over the British fleet. The engagement was on Friday last, the 10th inst. Was very warmly contested for a long time. It terminated in our taking all the British vessels on the Lake. We now have the entire command. All preparation is making to have the boats &etc. ready to embark for the Lake."
