Winter Hours: Beginning January through March 2024, our new Winter Quarter Hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays 10:00am to 4:00pm and Sundays 12:00pm to 4:00pm
The Fort Meigs visitor center and museum are open year round!
Reduced rates are offered during our winter quarter. Admission includes the viewing of WGTE’s Fort Meigs introductory video, and access to The Legacy of Freedom, our state-of-the-art War of 1812 Museum.
The reconstructed fort and outdoor exhibits are closed for the winter from November 1 – March 31.

Tea and Historic Craft

Join us for a special afternoon of tea and crafts. These events run from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and are included with general admission to the site. The historic craft varies each event.

Second Sunday Games at Fort Meigs
Sunday, February 11th 1pm to 4pm.
No experience with tabletop gaming is necessary to play.
Historical Miniatures Games
Hoplite Warfare- Ancient battles fought between Greek city-states during the Age of the Phalanx. 28mm. Figs. Ages 10+ Rules taught.
Medieval Combat – Man to Man Combat with Axe and Sword. 30mm. figures. A game for players 10+ Rules taught.
The War of 1812 – British and U.S. forces meet on the battlefield. This game is designed for players new to historical miniatures. 54mm. plastic soldiers, Ages 10+ Rules taught.
Wings of War, WW1- A fast-play game of the air war over France. For adults and kids 10+. Easy rules taught.
